Novak Djokovic was greeted with loud cheers as he soaked in the applause from a packed crowd after he reached Serbia following his stupendous Paris Olympics campaign. Djokovic has won 24 Grand Slam singles title, but an Olympic gold medal eluded him, although he won bronze back in Beijing 2008.
But in Paris, Djokovic fulfilled his dream by winning gold. In the final, he defeated Carlos Alcaraz, who was in the form of his life. The 37-year-old became the oldest Olympic champion after winning the match 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-2) at Philippe-Chatrier.
