ven though Novak Djokovic of Serbia is gearing up for the Davis Cup in November, the tennis icon spared some time on social media to congratulate the Serbian Paralympians on their outstanding accomplishments.

With a thrilling victory over Carlos Alcaraz of Spain at the Paris Summer Games, the 37-year-old made his country proud and achieved the coveted Golden Slam for the Serb. It was now his turn to applaud the achievements of his fellow citizens at the Paralympic Games.

Djokovic wrote in his Instagram story: “Congratulations to our Paralympians. Thank you.”

At the 2024 Paralympics, Serbia won six medals, including gold for the second time in a row for Dragan Ristić in the R9 mixed 50m rifle-prone SH2.

The most medals were won by Borislava Perić-Ranković, who won two silvers in para table tennis—one each in singles and doubles with partner Nada Matic. Mitar Palikuca, who won bronze in the men’s singles, also finished first.
