“I’ve played so many tournaments this year, so it was definitely the toughest decision to not play this and obviously not play BJK,” said Osaka. “I really honestly enjoyed it so much, and I think it helped with my development as a player.”
Danielle Collins will lead the USA, who are without Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, while Paula Badosa is the top-ranked player for Spain.

Emma Raducanu looks on track to play for Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Raducanu was key in helping GB qualify for the finals with victory over France as she beat Caroline Garcia and Diane Parry.
However, the former US Open winner has not played since suffering a foot injury at the Korea Open in September.
According to the Daily Mail she has been training at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre and her team said: “Emma is training well and being with the team next week is her focus.”
