Alexander Zverev’s girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, recently shared some surprising details about the tennis star’s quirky habits off the court, particularly in the bedroom. In a lighthearted interview, Thomalla revealed that while Zverev may be known for his focused and intense demeanor on the tennis court, his behavior at home is a bit more unconventional.
Thomalla playfully disclosed that Zverev has some rather “bizarre” bedtime routines that have taken her by surprise. According to her, the German tennis player has an unusual preference for keeping the bedroom environment as cold as possible, often turning the temperature down to a level she finds uncomfortably chilly. “Alex loves the room to be freezing at night, which is something I still can’t get used to,” Thomalla joked. “I’m always bundled up under multiple layers while he seems completely unfazed by the cold.”
She also mentioned Zverev’s tendency to watch sports highlights or matches late into the night, sometimes even after a grueling day on the court. “Even when he’s had a long day of training or playing, he’ll still be glued to the TV, watching more tennis or other sports. I have to remind him sometimes to just relax and switch off.”
Despite these quirks, Thomalla was quick to add that their relationship is full of fun and laughter, and Zverev’s habits, while unusual, are just part of his personality. “We have a lot of fun together, and these little things just make our time together more interesting. He’s such a unique character, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
The couple, who have been dating since 2021, often share glimpses of their life together on social media, showing a mix of their playful dynamic and Zverev’s intense focus on his career. Zverev, meanwhile, continues to focus on his preparations for the 2025 tennis season, where he hopes to make a strong start at the Australian Open.
