Teen darts star Luke Littler expressed visible frustration during his Premier League Darts defeat to Stephen Bunting in Rotterdam, reacting angrily to persistent booing from the crowd.

The 18-year-old was jeered throughout the match at the Ahoy Rotterdam, especially during the sixth leg when he paused to change his darts. The delay drew loud boos, prompting Littler to glare at the audience and gesture in irritation—a reaction he repeated later as he mounted a comeback.

Initially trailing 5-2, Littler fought back brilliantly with three consecutive legs to level the score. His resurgence included back-to-back 180s and clinical finishes, bringing the match to a tense deciding leg. However, Bunting held his nerve, opening with a 140 and eventually checking out on 70 to seal a 6-5 win, reaching his second final in three weeks.

The crowd, largely in support of Bunting, had earlier turned against him during his win over Dutch favourite Michael van Gerwen, but shifted in his favour against Littler.

Littler struggled early, with Bunting regularly reaching finishing positions first. The crucial dart change in leg six—when Bunting led 3-2—allowed the 40-year-old to capitalize, extending his lead and keeping control as the crowd pressure mounted.

Despite Littler’s spirited fightback, including a maximum to leave 138 in the final leg, he couldn’t find the finishing touch. Bunting’s composure proved decisive.

The defeat denied Littler a record fifth nightly win, but with five league nights still remaining, he remains a strong contender for the play-offs.
