Aryna Sabalenka endured heartbreak once again at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, finishing as the runner-up for the fourth time—and this time, she wasn’t ready to hide her disappointment.

Following yet another loss in the final, Sabalenka made headlines not just for her on-court performance, but for her emotional reaction. The World No. 2 declined to accept the runner-up trophy, visibly frustrated at missing out on the Porsche prize once again.

“Please, I beg you. Please; please. I need this car,” Sabalenka said during an on-court interview, motioning toward the iconic Porsche awarded to the winner.
“I want to put this [check mark gesture] next to the goal.”

Despite falling short in the final, Sabalenka remained in good spirits with a lighthearted comment:

“I really believe all those losses were just because I played the World No. 1, so I became World No. 1. Hopefully it’s going to help me somehow,” she quipped.

Looking Ahead to Madrid

Next up, Sabalenka shifts focus to the 2025 Madrid Open, where she’ll begin her campaign this week. Still hungry for titles and determined to add more silverware to her collection, the Belarusian will aim to bounce back quickly.

Sabalenka was pictured alongside fellow competitor Jelena Ostapenko in Stuttgart, a moment that captured both camaraderie and competition as the clay season kicks into full gear.
