Teen darts sensation Luke Littler was caught on camera furiously reacting to the crowd in Liverpool after a dramatic loss to Michael van Gerwen in the Premier League Darts quarter-finals.

The 17-year-old, nicknamed “The Nuke,” squandered a 4-0 and 5-3 lead before losing 6-5 to the Dutchman at the M&S Bank Arena. As Littler exited the stage, he was loudly booed by sections of the crowd — and he didn’t take it well.

Footage from the stands showed Littler angrily gesturing towards the fans while descending the steps. He continued to vent his frustration, appearing to confront a section of the audience before being led away by security.

The incident follows tensions from last season, when Littler, a Manchester United fan, taunted Liverpool supporters after their 2-0 derby loss to Everton — a result that derailed Jurgen Klopp’s title hopes. Ahead of this week’s match, Littler even posted on X: “One of the best nights on the Premier League calendar coming up tomorrow, bring on the boos Liverpool.”

Liverpool native and fellow darts player Stephen Bunting had warned Littler ahead of the event: “Football rivalries will always be part of sport, but it’s a dangerous path to go down. People don’t forget.”

Littler’s loss cuts his lead at the top of the Premier League standings to four points, with Luke Humphries closing the gap after reaching the final.
