Katie Boulter Delivers Hilarious One-Liner After Fiancé Alex de Minaur Flaunts New Car Purchase
Alex de Minaur and fiancée Katie Boulter, who’ve been together since March 2020 and got engaged in December 2024, recently brought both their tennis skills and humor to the 2025 Madrid Open—and to Instagram.
While competing in the Spanish capital, both had mixed results. Boulter made it to the second round in singles after a comeback win over Kateřina Siniaková (4-6, 6-2, 6-1) but fell to sixth seed Jasmine Paolini (6-1, 6-2). In doubles, she partnered with Daria Kasatkina, but the duo narrowly lost their opening match to Linda Nosková and Clara Tauson (6-7(4), 7-5, [10-12]).
De Minaur, seeded sixth, started strong after a first-round bye. He notched wins against Lorenzo Sonego (6-2, 6-3) and Denis Shapovalov (6-3, 7-6(3)), but his run ended in the fourth round with a straight-sets loss to 10th seed Lorenzo Musetti (6-4, 6-2).
Following the tournament, De Minaur shared photos on Instagram posing with two Mini De Luxe cars—one green and one blue. He captioned the post:

Boulter, never one to miss a chance for a cheeky jab, replied in the comments:
“Sometimes I wonder if you’ll replace me also with a mini one day.”
To which De Minaur playfully responded:
