Open: Alexander Zverev survives huge scare, Mirra Andreeva into maiden Round 4

French Open 2024: Alexander Zverev defeated Tallon Griekspoor in a thriller and advanced to the fourth round at Roland Garros. 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva also progressed after beating Peyton Stearns.
World No.4 Alexander Zverev survived a huge scare in his Round 3 match of the French Open 2024 against Tallon Griekspoor. But after 4 hours and 14 minutes, the German beat Griekspoor 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (10-3) on Court Philippe-Chatrier to make his way through to the fourth round of the men’s singles at Roland Garros.
After losing the first set, Zverev came back to win the second and third sets. But Griekspoor held his nerve to force a decider. In the fifth set, Zverev conceded a break to go 3-4 down. That’s where Zverev brought forth all his experience to earn the break back and take the set into the tie-break where he completely dominated.
