Man City and Manchester United players are not due to report until the start of next week following their participation in last Saturday’s FA Cup final but the 28-year-old joined his team-mates for training on Saturday.

Grealish was joined by his City team-mate John Stones at the England camp, while Red Devils defender Harry Maguire was also in attendance.

Southgate is blessed with options in attacking areas with Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Eberechi Eze and Anthony Gordon among those battling for a spot in Southgate’s final party.

Grealish’s experience may count in his favour and his decision to report early is likely to be well received by Southgate.

The majority of England’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024 reported to the luxurious Rockliffe Hall in Darlington Hall on Wednesday.
