Gerwyn Price has thrown his name into the mix after Ibiza Final Boss picked up another victory in the Misfits Boxing ring.
Ibiza Final Boss, whose real name is Jack Kay, defeated late replacement Kellen Jenkins by split decision in Newcastle on Saturday night.
The narrow win moved Kay to 2-0 in Misfits Boxing, following his previous victory over Jordan McCann.
Misfits Boxing shared footage of the judges announcing the result on Instagram, and former darts world champion Gerwyn Price could not resist getting involved.
The 41-year-old Welshman commented with a boxing glove emoji: “Sign me up.”
Price has previously spoken openly about his confidence inside the boxing ring. The darts star once claimed he would beat Jake Paul with “one punch” if the two ever faced each other.
Speaking to talkSPORT last year, Price said: “That’s easy. I look forward to that. He’s a YouTuber; he’s not a fighter, is he?
“He’ll never beat me in Wales. Nobody beats me in Wales.
“He’d probably beat Canelo if they fought in Mexico, but he’s not beating me.
“I think it would just be one punch, and it would be all over. Out cold.”
Price is no stranger to other sports either. Before becoming a darts superstar, he played rugby and has also developed a passion for pool.
The former Ally Pally champion even has a pool table in his home man cave and entered the UK Pool Championship earlier this year.
However, he was forced to withdraw just hours before his scheduled match against Kostiantyn Ivanov as he prepared for the Premier League play-offs.
Meanwhile, Ibiza Final Boss has already set his sights on another fight with McCann.
After beating Jenkins, Kay said: “I’ll fight anyone. We’re going to be looking to be back out in December in Manchester, but I want a rematch with Jordan McCann.”
The Newcastle card also featured the long-awaited clash between Jordan McCann and Big Stacks, with Stacks stopping McCann inside two rounds.
With Ibiza Final Boss now 2-0, another showdown with McCann could be on the horizon — and Price appears more than ready to throw his own name into the conversation.
