Andy Murray Playfully Mocks Jack Draper Over New Hairstyle
Former world No.1 Andy Murray couldn’t resist teasing fellow Brit Jack Draper after the 23-year-old showed off his new blond hairstyle on Instagram.
Murray, widely regarded as Britain’s greatest singles player with three Grand Slam titles, zoomed in on one particular detail in Draper’s photo. “Not sure if you noticed, but I think a bird has 💩 on your hair in that photo 🙏,” he joked, pointing out a small white patch.
Draper’s Season So Far: Highs and Lows
Draper, currently ranked world No.7, has had a rollercoaster season. He was forced to retire in the Australian Open fourth round against Carlos Alcaraz due to fitness concerns but bounced back strongly at the Qatar Open, reaching the final before losing to Andrey Rublev in a tight three-setter (7-5, 5-7, 6-1).
His biggest moment came at Indian Wells, where he clinched his first ATP 1000 title, defeating Holger Rune (6-2, 6-2) in the final. This made him only the second Brit to win the tournament, following Cameron Norrie’s 2021 triumph.
However, the celebrations were short-lived as Draper suffered an early exit at the Miami Open, losing to Jakub Mensik in the round of 64 (7-6, 7-6).
With the clay court season approaching, Draper will be looking to regain momentum and continue his rise in the rankings.
