AC Milan Eyes Jack Grealish as Manchester City Sets Asking Price
AC Milan is preparing a move for Jack Grealish as Manchester City and manager Pep Guardiola set a transfer fee for the England international.
Grealish, who has struggled for consistent game time this season, has played just 605 Premier League minutes in his fourth year at the Etihad Stadium. With two years left on his contract, City’s incoming sporting director Hugo Viana faces a key decision regarding the winger’s future.
Grealish’s Decline in Guardiola’s Plans
Since his £100 million move in 2021, Grealish has had mixed success at City. While he was an important figure in their historic treble-winning season, he has since fallen down the pecking order. The rise of Savinho, Jeremy Doku, and January signing Omar Marmoush has limited his opportunities, and City has relied heavily on Erling Haaland for goals this season.
Despite Guardiola praising Grealish’s efforts in training, injuries and inconsistency have kept him out of the starting XI.
AC Milan’s Interest and City’s Asking Price
According to Italian outlet TVPlay, AC Milan is keen on signing Grealish, with Sport Witness reporting that City could demand a fee in the region of €40 million for the winger. However, Milan is reportedly exploring a loan deal instead.
Grealish is considering leaving City in search of regular playing time, particularly with an eye on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His lack of minutes recently saw him left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, with the new manager citing Grealish’s inconsistency at club level as a key factor.
As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on whether City opts to sell, loan, or retain the winger for another season.
