But Boulter, a fellow tennis pro and his longtime partner, couldn’t resist teasing him in the comments:
“Not sure the short shorts are a win tho.”

The playful moment added a lighthearted touch to De Minaur’s otherwise serious push on the clay. In a post-match interview, the Aussie reflected on his growing confidence on the surface.

“More than anything, I’m just finding my feet on clay. It’s taken me a while in my career, but I finally understand what I need to do to be effective. I can be dangerous on this surface, so I’m very happy to play here and start off the clay swing with some good matches. All my energy and all my effort now goes to tomorrow,” he said.

With growing momentum and a grounded mindset, De Minaur looks ready to keep climbing. Shorts critique aside, he’s making a statement where it counts—on the court.
