Alexander Zverev Stays Mum on Rumored Boris Becker Collaboration Amid Mental Struggles on Court
Tennis star Alexander Zverev is staying tight-lipped amid growing rumors about a potential partnership with tennis legend Boris Becker.
Speaking to the press, Zverev remained coy about the speculation:
“Boris and I have a great connection. If anything happens, we’ll let you know… In the meantime, you can speculate and make a story out of it. I’m not saying anything about it.”
Zverev’s comments have only added fuel to the fire, as fans and analysts continue to question whether the former World No. 1 might be seeking guidance from Becker—especially with the Monte-Carlo Masters just around the corner.
Interestingly, Becker himself has publicly shared his thoughts on Zverev’s current form, suggesting the German is facing internal challenges that may be hindering his performance.
“I always start with the mental attitude,” Becker said. “He’s not as confident as he was in Melbourne or at the end of last year.”
The six-time Grand Slam champion emphasized the need for emotional and psychological balance:
“You can find the best training centers in Florida for forehands and fitness. But is there a school for mentality, self-confidence, inner peace, and faith? That’s where I think he needs help. For me, that’s the difference between winning and losing right now.”
While Zverev continues to compete at a high level, his results have been inconsistent in recent months. With the clay season heating up, many are wondering if a collaboration with Becker—if it materializes—could be the catalyst Zverev needs to get back to his peak form.
