Andy Roddick, former world No. 1 and one of tennis’ most dominant servers, has crowned Alexander Zverev’s serve as the “most effective in the world.” Roddick, widely respected for his insights into the technical aspects of the game, believes that Zverev’s combination of power, placement, and consistency sets him apart from his peers on the ATP Tour.
“Zverev’s serve is the most effective in the world right now,” Roddick said during a tennis analysis segment. “He has this unique ability to not only deliver powerful first serves but also mix up his second serves with precision. He makes it really tough for his opponents to read or break him.”
Roddick pointed out that Zverev’s serving efficiency comes not just from speed but also from his ability to hit key spots on the court and adjust his serve strategy based on the match situation. The German star’s ability to vary placement and maintain a high percentage of first serves is what, according to Roddick, makes his serve so lethal.
