As 2024 comes to a close for Jannik Sinner, and a challenging 2025 awaits, Anna Kalinskaya is also preparing for the new season. The Russian tennis player, who spent the latter part of the year in Miami, is working with her fitness coach, Santi Dimperio, to put behind her a disappointing 2024, both on and off the court. What initially seemed like a romantic fairy tale with Sinner quickly ended in a sudden and bittersweet farewell.
To keep her motivated for the upcoming season, coach Santi Dimperio posted a playful video on Instagram, where he challenges Anna to a rope race. The caption reads, “I couldn’t beat her. Anita won,” accompanied by several frightened face emojis. In good humor, Dimperio jokingly added, “But the rope was a little too tight for my taste.”
Kalinskaya, tagged in the post, quickly reshared it on her Instagram stories, commenting with an expressive “the end” and a laughing emoji, celebrating her victory over Santi. Could this be a sign that Sinner is now in the past?
In another video, someone simply comments, “Well done, Anna!” Dimperio also shared a clip of Kalinskaya working on strength training in the gym, captioning it, “Getting stronger. Lowering the volume, increasing intensity, and focusing on more specific on-court exercises as we prepare for the new season.”
