Canada’s Bianca Andreescu has advanced to the final of the Libema Open in the Netherlands, winning her semifinal match against Hungary’s Dalma Galfi in straight-sets by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
Andreescu, of Mississauga, Ont., will face either Ekaterina Alexandrova or Liudmila Samsonova, both of Russia, in the final on Sunday at the Wimbledon tune-up tourney.
This is just the second tournament Andreescu has played in since missing nearly 10 months with a back injury.
The 23-year-old Canadian defeated Japan’s Naomi Osaka in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday.
