After missing the event for a few years due to the complexity of the calendar in its final stretch, Iga Swiatek just announced that this November she will indeed be present at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Málaga to lead the Polish team to victory. A piece of great news for her country, the event, and everyone except Spain, as the first match for Anabel Medina’s team will be against them. Beyond the draw, it’s a joy to see the current World No. 2 regain that commitment to the world’s most important team competition.
🎾 See you in Malaga! I’m glad to let you know today that I will play in the Billie Jean King Cup finals. I’m very happy to be able to play for my country and proudly represent Poland as always. Together with the whole team, we will give our all and simply play the best… pic.twitter.com/E6hTpv8nTb
