Tennis legend Boris Becker has responded to ongoing speculation about a potential coaching role or collaboration with Alexander Zverev—by keeping things cryptic.
“That’s always between Sascha and me. We have a private sphere, and we’ll keep it that way,” Becker said in a recent interview. “I’m close friends with the family. We’re in close contact.”
While Becker refused to confirm or deny any plans, his comments did little to quiet the buzz about a potential reunion or mentoring arrangement with the German star.
Zverev echoed Becker’s sentiment during his own media appearance, keeping things deliberately vague.
“Boris and I have a great connection,” Zverev said. “If anything happens, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can speculate and make a story out of it—I’m not saying anything about it.”
The two have worked together in the past and were seen interacting during the 2023 Davis Cup, sparking fresh chatter about a professional partnership.
