Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur once again showed why they are tennis’ ultimate power couple after they both won titles on Sunday.
But De Minaur quickly went from dreamland to the doghouse after British No1 Boulter cheekily hinted at trouble in paradise.
Australian star De Minaur emerged victorious at the Libema Open at s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands.
And hours later, Boulter defied the odds by defending her Nottingham Open crown following a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over 2021 Wimbledon runner-up Karolina Pliskova.
Speaking after her grass court triumph, the 27-year-old joked: “My boyfriend didn’t make the trip even though I thought he might after his win in s-Hertogenbosch.
“We will have to be talking about that tonight and see if we’re still gonna be together.
“I hope he’s listening to this because we’ve got some talking to do.”
Incredibly, Boulter was involved in two three-set thrillers on Sunday, where she first had to come back against fellow Brit Emma Raducanu in the delayed semi-final.
Rain forced Saturday’s meeting into the final day of the tournament, and trailing by a set following an epic tiebreak, Boulter managed to win the next two sets 6-3, 6-2 as she edged out the marathon which lasted three hours and 13 minutes across the weekend.
Boulter then just had around two hours to recover, where she again fought back after losing the opening set.
Her grit and determination stunned De Minaur, who was quick to gush over his partner on social media.
He posted on X: “How did that happen Katie Boulter? You are a joke!!!
It’s the second time in 2024 that Boulter and De Minaur have both won titles across a weekend.
In March, De Minaur scooped success in San Diego by lifting the Acapulco title.
And he was in attendance the following day to witness Boulter win the San Diego Open.
