Carlos Alcaraz: A Rising Tennis Legend with Interests Beyond the Court

Carlos Alcaraz may already be a four-time Grand Slam champion at just 21, but tennis isn’t his only passion. The Spanish star, widely tipped to become one of the sport’s all-time greats, has secured back-to-back Wimbledon titles alongside victories at the US Open and French Open.

Despite his incredible success, Alcaraz narrowly missed out on a Career Grand Slam this year, falling to Novak Djokovic in an intense Australian Open quarter-final. However, as the world No. 3, he has plenty of time to achieve that milestone.

Off the court, Alcaraz remains grounded. He continues to live with his family in Murcia and has avoided controversy in the media. Beyond tennis, he has shown a strong commitment to philanthropy. In April last year, he launched the Carlos Alcaraz Garcia Foundation to support underprivileged children. Later in the year, he helped organize a charity auction to raise funds for those affected by flash floods in Valencia.

While Alcaraz remains single, he recently became the subject of lighthearted speculation about his personal life. During an appearance on the Get Set Tennis podcast, Nick Kyrgios was asked to describe several tennis players in one word. When it came to Alcaraz, the Australian playfully responded: “He loves females, so females.”

This isn’t the first time Alcaraz’s love life has been a talking point. Last summer, he was put on the spot in an interview with internet personality Daniel Fernandez, who jokingly asked him to imagine himself at Wimbledon in 2037, on the verge of becoming the greatest player in history.

Fernandez pressed: “You look to the stands, see a woman, do you have kids? How many? But more importantly, what’s your wife’s name?” After a moment of hesitation, Alcaraz laughed and answered: “I’m not sure… I will say Maria.”

Ironically, weeks later, the tennis star was linked to María Gonzalez Gimenez. However, despite speculation, Alcaraz maintained that they were simply friends.

During the US Open in August, he was directly asked if he was still single. His response? “I am… but I am looking for someone.”
