Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing England international Jack Grealish amid his uncertain future at Manchester City, and Mauricio Pochettino would love the player according to reporter Iomie Stanley
During his time with Aston Villa – Grealish has developed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that was tipped to play for one of the big clubs.
In the end it was Manchester City that swooped in – paid some serious money – and took him to the Etihad in hope that he could devlop into the player that showed so much promise
However – Grealish, has failed to lived up to the billing so far and Grealish’s name has been discussed by Chelsea, according to Simon Phillips. The CHELSEA journalist told his Substack page
“Another winger I am told has been internally discussed at Chelsea recently, is Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.
“The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Aston Villa in recent weeks, and due to his bit-part role at City, there is a belief in the industry that he will be available for transfer this summer and also, he is likely to be open to moving to another club where he will have a more important role at.
“Chelsea have good transfer relations with City and of course, have signed Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer from them in recent years, both at reasonable fees.”
The report insists that ‘willing to listen to offers for Jack Grealish this summer with a shock sale a growing possibility’ with Guardiola ‘not completely convinced by the winger and he is considered dispensable’.
Reporter Stanley said: ‘Everyone expected Grealish to make the move to Man City and become a superstar – he is working under the best coach in the game – but it just has not worked out.
‘He is given the freedom and the chances to prove many people wrong – so we really believe that if an offer comes in that City are happy with – then they will let him leave
‘Pochettino wants winners at the club that are proven at the top level, he knows what Grealish is all about and would love to have him at Chelsea,’
