Coco Gauff has weighed in on Serena Williams’ unexpected appearance alongside Kendrick Lamar during the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. The 20-year-old also shared her thoughts on Lamar’s performance, which featured SZA as a special guest.

Lamar delivered a memorable set during the thrilling Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. With Samuel L. Jackson narrating parts of the 11-track performance and SZA joining in for “Luther” and “All the Stars”, the show lived up to the hype.

However, the night’s most jaw-dropping moment came when Lamar performed his Grammy-winning diss track, “Not Like Us”, aimed at Drake. In a surprise cameo, Serena Williams took the stage and confidently crip-walked as Lamar performed the track.

“Serena is the 🐐! Icon doing iconic things,” Gauff wrote on X.

The World No. 3 also expressed her love for hip-hop culture, praising the creativity behind the show, particularly highlighting SZA and Samuel L. Jackson’s involvement.

“Loved the show and Serena ate that. I love rap music and hip-hop culture, man. Shoutout to SZA too & K Dot 🐐🔥 and #SamuelLJackson narrating was just chef’s kiss. Well thought out,” she posted.

Gauff continued to show love and appreciation for Williams, Lamar, and SZA, calling their performance remarkable.

Coco Gauff Reveals Which Super Bowl Team She Supported

A die-hard Miami Dolphins fan, Gauff revealed that she temporarily switched allegiances to support the Philadelphia Eagles in their Super Bowl showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs. It turned out to be a great choice, as the Eagles secured a 40-22 victory.

“An Eagles fan for the day & a Kendrick fan forever,” Gauff posted.

Currently in Qatar for the 2025 Qatar Open, Gauff humorously admitted that she woke up just to watch the halftime show before heading back to sleep.

“& I love hip-hop. Lol now I’m headed back to sleep. Literally just woke up for the halftime show,” she shared on Instagram.

After receiving a first-round bye, Gauff will begin her Qatar Open campaign against Marta Kostyuk. A potential third-round matchup with Magdalena Frech awaits, followed by a possible quarterfinal clash against Paula Badosa or Emma Navarro.
