A Special Day for Young Darts Players

Duane Garfield, the organizer of the Boundary Park darts competitions, was thrilled to host Littler, saying:

“I’m lost for words to have Luke Littler here. I’d like to give a huge thank you to those who made this happen—it’s been a fantastic afternoon.”

“Luke has been incredible. He’s taken photos with every youngster, signed autographs, and the reaction when he walked through the door was unbelievable.”

The tournament drew an impressive 92 entries for the 11-18 age group, while a separate competition for younger children featured 30 participants on a smaller board.

A Growing Darts Community

Darts was introduced to Bar 1895 on a weekly basis in November as part of the ADC Vault Series, and its growing popularity has led to the addition of a second weekly darts night. The Boundary Park Youth Academy has particularly flourished, providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills.

Garfield emphasized the academy’s rapid growth, stating:

“The popularity of youth darts right now is absolutely phenomenal. The Boundary Park Youth Academy meets every Tuesday and Thursday. We’ve only been here for a few months, but we’re expanding all the time. We welcome everyone, so if you’re interested, come down and get involved!”

Darts fans of all ages can now take part in competitions and witness rising local talent every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:45 PM, making Bar 1895 the home of Oldham’s biggest darts night.
