Davies has made it clear he will not be overawed when he steps onto the Alexandra Palace stage to face teenage sensation Luke Littler, insisting he is ready to take the game to one of darts’ biggest stars — with a blast of Oasis providing extra motivation.

Ahead of their clash at the PDC World Darts Championship, Davies spoke confidently about his mindset, dismissing suggestions that Littler’s reputation or huge backing from the Ally Pally crowd would intimidate him.

“I’m Not Frightened of Anyone”

Davies admitted he respects what Littler has already achieved at such a young age, but stressed that respect does not mean fear. He believes that on the World Championship stage, reputations count for very little once the darts start flying.

According to Davies, his approach will be simple: play with freedom, embrace the atmosphere, and attack from the very first leg. He said he has no intention of standing off and letting Littler dictate the pace of the match.

Oasis Walk-On to Set the Tone

In a nod to the occasion, Davies revealed he plans to use Oasis as his walk-on music — a choice he says perfectly captures his mindset going into the contest. The Britpop anthem is meant to fire him up and signal that he’s there to make a statement, not just make up the numbers.

He believes the music will help him channel adrenaline positively, block out the noise, and focus on delivering his best darts under the bright lights of Alexandra Palace.

Ready to Shock the Crowd

While Littler is widely tipped as a favourite by fans and pundits alike, Davies is convinced that pressure sits firmly on the teenager’s shoulders. With expectations sky-high, Davies sees an opportunity to play the role of spoiler and “blow him away” by starting fast and capitalising on any nerves.

Davies added that matches at Ally Pally can turn quickly, and that all it takes is one strong burst to swing momentum — regardless of rankings or hype.

Belief Over Fear

The message from Davies is unmistakable: he’s embracing the occasion, not shrinking from it. Backed by his Oasis soundtrack and a fearless attitude, he’s determined to test Littler to the limit and remind everyone that the World Darts Championship has a habit of producing surprises.

Whether confidence turns into a famous upset remains to be seen — but Davies has already won one battle by showing he’s not scared of the moment, or the man standing opposite him on the oche.
