In a touching tribute shared on social media, the American player wrote:

“Today Jesus sacrificed His life for you and me. If you ever feel unloved or alone, just know that He not only died but endured torture for you because He loves you and always will. ❤️”

Gauff, currently competing at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2025, has long been open about the role her faith plays in her life and career. Speaking previously, she shared:

“Before every match since I was 8, my dad and I say a prayer together. We don’t pray for victory—just that both me and my opponent stay safe. After matches, I thank God for the opportunity.”

The 20-year-old also reflected on her journey through a past season, saying:

“We live, we learn, but most importantly, we keep trying. The 2022 season is officially over and definitely one I’ll never forget. Thank you, God, for strengthening me at my lowest and highest points. #TheBestIsYetToCome.”

When asked about her faith in a past interview with ESPN’s Mary Joe Fernandez, Gauff said:

“I don’t pray for results. I just ask for the strength to give it my all—whatever happens, happens. I feel so blessed in this life and I’m just thankful for this moment. I don’t even have the words for it.”

Coco Gauff continues to inspire both on and off the court—not only with her powerful game but with the grace and gratitude she carries into every aspect of her life.
