What Elena Rybakina Has Shared About Her Family

During the 2023 Australian Open, Elena spoke warmly about the rare moments she gets to spend with her family:

“It’s the first time they’re all together here. I’m super happy that we can spend evenings together and they can watch me live.”

Reflecting on her parents’ support, she added:

“It’s great for them… I’m sure they’re happy. They don’t often see me play live, so I think just being here is a big result already. No matter how I perform in the final, I think they’re very proud and happy.”

She also joked about how nerve-wracking her matches can be for them:

“I think every match I play they’re nervous, whether it’s live or they’re watching on TV. I think you can never get used to this.”

Rybakina credited her parents for believing in her from the very beginning:

“From the start, they believed in me — whether I lost in the first round or not as a junior — because they saw the potential and how much I loved the game. I think they’re just proud now.”
