“I just know that every day, I am trying to be the best version of myself. I am trying to win the day, and I have gotten back to that. I didn’t win on the match court today, but I’m still going to find a way to win the day. It was a tough one in the office, but I have to take the positives. I’m getting out more, and I’m enjoying myself.”

Currently ranked No. 49 in the WTA rankings, Raducanu opened the tournament with a confidence-boosting first-round win. She reflected on the challenges of clay-court conditions in a post-match interview with The Guardian:

“It gives me a lot of confidence — not just because it’s clay, but it was at night, it was heavy, and very cold. The new balls were still flying, but they got old quickly. I’m really proud of how I handled it. The level was high, and I committed to my shots, which is exactly what I said I wanted to do.”

While the second-round result wasn’t in her favor, Raducanu’s focus on daily progress and resilience signals a strong mindset as she continues her 2025 season
