Fallon Sherrock appeared to share a light-hearted moment during her World Darts Championship match that many fans interpreted as a subtle nod to former partner Cameron Menzies.

Sherrock and Menzies, who began dating in 2021 and were often described as a darts “power couple”, went their separate ways earlier this year after several seasons together. They had frequently been seen supporting one another at events, making the split a notable moment on the circuit.

During Sherrock’s first-round match — a 3–0 defeat to Dave Chisnall — the 31-year-old smiled as she approached her drinks table and briefly mimed shaking it. The moment drew attention online, with some fans linking it to Menzies’ recent on-stage frustration during his own match earlier in the tournament.

Menzies endured a difficult opening-round loss, going down 3–2 to Charlie Manby, after which he showed visible frustration. The Scot later addressed the incident publicly, issuing an apology and explaining that he had been dealing with significant personal challenges away from the oche.

In a statement, Menzies said he regretted how he reacted and stressed that his behaviour did not reflect how he wished to be seen. He also made clear that his opponent deserved full credit for the win and that his emotions had simply overwhelmed him in the moment.

The Professional Darts Corporation confirmed it had spoken with Menzies and that support was available through the appropriate player welfare channels, adding that its priority was his health and wellbeing.

Sherrock, meanwhile, continues to focus on her own comeback after a challenging period marked by health issues and personal change. While the drinks-table moment sparked debate, attention soon returned to the darts, with fans recognising the intense emotions that often accompany the sport’s biggest stage.
