Fallon Sherrock, the trailblazing “Queen of the Palace,” has opened up about her ongoing health struggles, hinting at a potential break from professional darts in 2026 to prioritize her recovery. The 30-year-old English star, who made history as the first woman to defeat a man at the PDC World Championship in 2019, recently shared her challenges during an interview at the Armageddon exhibition in Leicester. Sherrock revealed that her energy levels have been severely depleted, forcing her to limit her playing commitments. “All I want to do is practice at home for a couple of hours a day, and I can’t do that at the moment,” she said, admitting to pulling out of exhibitions due to a lack of stamina.

Her health issues, linked to kidney problems diagnosed after the birth of her son Rory in 2014, have persisted despite treatment in 2017. Sherrock noted the emotional toll, stating, “That hurts because I love darts,” but remains optimistic, hoping to return to top form in a couple of years. She plans to end 2025 on a high, targeting qualification for the Grand Slam of Darts and the PDC World Championship, saying, “If I’m going to have a year out next year, I want to make a bang this year.” Her recent first-round exit to Ryan Meikle at the 2025 World Championship underscored her difficulties, yet she’s determined to focus on healing, believing “the sky is the limit” once recovered.
