Following his triumph at the 2025 Open Occitanie in Montpellier last weekend, Felix Auger-Aliassime has further solidified his impressive resume.

The Canadian edged out American Aleksandar Kovacevic in a thrilling three-set final, securing victory with a decisive tiebreak in the last set. Renowned for his dominance on indoor hard courts, Auger-Aliassime claimed his seventh ATP title, with six of them coming on his favored surface.

Auger-Aliassime Closes the Gap on Sinner and Alcaraz

The former World No. 6 has started the 2025 season on a high note, capturing two titles, including his win in Adelaide in January. With seven ATP titles, Auger-Aliassime has surpassed Argentine Sebastian Baez among players born in 2000 or later. Baez has six titles to his name, while Auger-Aliassime, also born in 2000, now holds seven.

This milestone places the Canadian third on the list of ATP titleholders born in 2000 or later. However, he still has significant ground to cover to match the two players ahead of him. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner leads the pack with 19 ATP titles, while reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz follows closely with 16.

Looking to add to his title haul, Auger-Aliassime now sets his sights on the ABN AMRO Open. The ATP 500 hard court tournament is among the few indoor events on the tour, and Auger-Aliassime is a former champion, having claimed his first ATP title there in 2022 with a victory over Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas.
