During his post-match interview with PDC TV, Price couldn’t resist poking fun at his impressive record against Littler.

“Six on the spin? Sure his name isn’t Luke?” Price quipped. “I’ve got good records against both Ryan and Luke. I just come up here and try to win my game, and I’m pleased with that tonight.”

Remarkably, Price has also beaten Littler six consecutive times, with the most recent victory coming on Premier League Night Six in Nottingham, where he defeated the teenage sensation 6-3 in the final.

The former world champion also got the better of Littler earlier in the season, claiming a 6-4 quarter-final win on Night Three in Dublin.

Price’s Huge Praise for Littler

Despite his unbeaten streak against Littler, Price remains full of admiration for the young star. Following his Nottingham victory, the Welshman made a bold prediction about Littler’s future in darts.

“He’s the best player in the world, and he’s going to be for many years,” Price said. “I think he will beat Phil Taylor’s record of 16 world titles. There’s nobody in the PDC right now that can stop him—only the younger generation coming through might have a chance. But we can’t stop him; he will only get better and better.”

What’s Next for Price?

Price will now face Wessel Nijman in the third round of the European Darts Trophy. The Dutchman has been pushed to deciding legs in both of his matches so far, including a win over tenth seed Danny Noppert.
