Adding to the spectacle, Newcastle United defender Dan Burn was seen enjoying Littler’s entrance, singing along enthusiastically—a moment that might not sit well with Premier League Darts competitor and Newcastle native, Chris Dobey.

Littler on the Crowd’s Reaction

Littler, who faced a mixed reception from the Newcastle crowd, acknowledged the atmosphere following his commanding 6-1 win over Luke Humphries.

“I didn’t notice them during the match, but I’ve seen a clip of Dan Burn enjoying my walk-on,” Littler said. “Maybe Chris Dobey won’t be too happy about that!”

Dobey, a devoted Magpies fan, was warmly welcomed by his hometown supporters but exited in the quarter-finals after a 6-3 loss to World No. 1 Humphries.

Despite the occasional jeers, Littler relishes the banter from rival football team fans at different Premier League venues.

“I just have to stay hungry, push for my fifth nightly win, and maintain my position at the top,” he said. “The goal is to keep breaking records.”
