Luke Littler Claims Fourth Premier League Darts Victory in Newcastle
Luke “The Nuke” Littler is now just one win away from breaking a Premier League Darts record—despite only being halfway through the 2025 season.
The 18-year-old Warrington native secured his fourth nightly win in the BetMGM Premier League season on Thursday in Newcastle, equaling his achievement from last year when he went on to win the title against Luke Humphries at the O2 Arena.
This time, Littler faced World No. 1 Humphries in the final once again. However, unlike last season—when he had yet to secure a nightly win by this stage—Littler has already claimed victories on Night 2 (Glasgow), Night 5 (Brighton), Night 7 (Cardiff), and Night 8 (Newcastle).
His latest 6-1 triumph over Humphries at the Utilita Arena has given him a commanding lead at the top of the league standings.
A Historic Achievement
Only Jonny Clayton (2022) has previously managed four Premier League nightly wins in a season. Littler, however, remains unfazed by records, focusing instead on maintaining his dominant form.
“It’s another night win and another trophy, so I’m delighted,” Littler said.
“I’m sitting comfortably at the top of the table, which means I can relax a little more going into the next few weeks.”
Littler’s growing reputation also plays a psychological role in his success.
“I think my performances show why people say I’m the best in the world right now,” he added.
“Players are starting to think about playing me rather than just playing the board—that works in my favor.”
Path to Victory
Littler started the night in dominant fashion, averaging 109.98 in a 6-0 quarter-final win over Stephen Bunting. He then dispatched Rob Cross 6-3 in the semi-finals before defeating Humphries in the final.
Meanwhile, Humphries, despite an impressive 106.73 average in his semi-final against Nathan Aspinall, struggled in the final, missing nine out of ten crucial double attempts.
With this victory, Littler extends his lead at the top, now eight points clear, while Humphries holds a five-point advantage over third-placed Michael van Gerwen.
