The European Darts Trophy is back, with the PDC European Tour heading to Germany this weekend as the Lokhalle in Göttingen plays host from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 March 2026. Nathan Aspinall lifted the trophy here in 2025, and a stellar field will be battling to succeed him — with one notable absentee.
Luke Littler will not be making the trip. The world number one has effectively boycotted European Tour events in Germany following a poor crowd reception in 2025, and aside from the World Cup of Darts and European Championship, he has not played in the country since. It is a situation he tends to downplay publicly, but his absence opens the door for others — with Michael van Gerwen (a three-time European Darts Trophy winner), Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen and Gerwyn Price among those heading to Göttingen with title ambitions.
How to watch in the UK, USA and Australia
Fans in the UK, United States and Australia can all watch the European Darts Trophy live via PDCTV, the PDC’s official streaming platform. A PDCTV Annual Pass costs £49.99 and provides access not only to this weekend’s action but to all Players Championship events and the Women’s Series throughout the year. Major televised tournaments are not shown on PDCTV in countries where a dedicated TV deal is in place, but the European Tour falls under the PDCTV umbrella for UK, US and Australian viewers.
How to watch in Europe
Viewers in Germany, the Netherlands and a number of other European territories will be served by their usual platforms — Viaplay and DAZN respectively. DAZN also covers Austria and Switzerland, including via the DAZN Darts Channel on Pluto TV.
