How to watch PDC Players Championship 7 and 8 in Leicester live and on TV in the UK, USA and Australia
The PDC Pro Tour returns to the East Midlands this week as the Mattioli Arena in Leicester hosts back-to-back Players Championship events on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March. Here is everything you need to know about how to follow the action.
When do Players Championship 7 and 8 start?
Players Championship 7 takes place on Monday 30 March 2026 at the Leicester Arena, with Players Championship 8 on Tuesday 31 March at the same venue. Play commences at 13:00 BST on each day.
How to watch in the UK
Players Championship events are not shown on standard television — as floor tournaments rather than televised majors, they have no presence on Sky Sports or any free-to-air broadcaster. All matches on the four main boards can be watched live via PDCTV, the PDC’s official streaming channel. Fans can choose from several subscription options: a monthly pass (£9.99), an annual subscription (£59.99) or a flexible multi-day short-use pass. You can also watch selected boards through licensed bookmakers’ streaming platforms, usually requiring an active account with a qualifying bet placed.
How to watch in the USA
Viewers in the USA can watch live via PDCTV, which carries the ProTour streams. ProTour events like the Players Championship are available worldwide, while some televised events have territorial restrictions due to broadcast deals.
How to watch in Australia
Australian fans can also access all the action via PDCTV. Because this is a ProTour floor event, streaming is typically the only way to follow the full draw live.
Who is playing?
Luke Littler is again absent, meaning he has yet to play a single Players Championship event in 2026. Luke Humphries, who has only appeared at PC3 and PC4 so far, has also decided not to travel to Leicester. Gerwyn Price is not entered for Players Championship 7 but is entered for Players Championship 8.
Among those in attendance are Premier League pace-setter Jonny Clayton and Dutch titan Michael van Gerwen. Gerwyn Price currently presides over the Players Championship Order of Merit, narrowly ahead of the in-form Wessel Nijman — both of whom will feature prominently in the East Midlands. Gary Anderson is also confirmed for both events.
Despite the notable withdrawals, the competitive landscape remains richly populated, with 128 competitors set to contest each event.
What is the prize fund?
The total prize money for Players Championship events in 2026 increased to £150,000 per event. The winner of each event receives £15,000. Prize money from these events counts towards the Players Championship Order of Merit, which determines the 64 qualifiers for the Players Championship Finals in Minehead in November, as well as contributing to the PDC and Pro Tour Orders of Merit.
What is the format?
Each event features 128 players in a straight single-elimination draw, playing from the Last 128 through to the final, with all matches played over best-of legs.
