Iga Swiatek’s Coach Wim Fisette and Family Show Support at Indian Wells as Sons Try Pickleball
Iga Swiatek’s coach, Wim Fisette, has had his family by his side throughout her campaign at the Indian Wells Masters, offering their unwavering support. On Wednesday, March 13, Fisette’s wife, Jasmien Clijsner, shared a glimpse of their sons switching sports and trying their hand at pickleball.
Clijsner and their two boys have been a constant presence at Indian Wells, frequently seen supporting both Swiatek and Fisette during the tournament. She has also kept fans updated with regular social media posts, documenting the family’s journey and their role in backing the defending champion.
Last week, she shared images of the family attending Swiatek’s practice sessions, emphasizing their steady support ahead of the tournament. After the World No. 2 put on a commanding performance to defeat Karolina Muchova in the fourth round, Clijsner posted a heartfelt photo of herself and the children cheering from the stands.
On Wednesday, she took to Instagram once again, this time sharing snapshots of her sons on the pickleball court, paddles in hand, seemingly gearing up for a friendly match. While the family enjoyed some lighthearted sporting moments, Swiatek remained focused on her quarterfinal showdown against Zheng Qinwen later that evening.
Iga Swiatek’s Dominant Run at Indian Wells 2025
Swiatek entered the BNP Paribas Open with an impressive track record, boasting a 90% win rate at the tournament and two previous titles (2022 and 2024). So far, she has looked unstoppable, not dropping more than two games in any set across her first three matches.
The defending champion has already dispatched Caroline Garcia, Dayana Yastremska, and Karolina Muchova, even handing out two bagels along the way. However, she now faces a familiar challenge in Zheng Qinwen, who stunned Swiatek at the 2024 Paris Olympics—her only win against the Polish star in their seven encounters (6-1 head-to-head record).
Despite her dominance, Swiatek will be mindful of her recent semifinal exits. At both the Australian Open and Qatar Open, she seemed invincible in the early rounds, only to fall short against Madison Keys and Jelena Ostapenko, respectively. As she continues her quest for a third Indian Wells title, she will be determined to avoid history repeating itself.
