Jack Grealish is set to report early for England duty as he fights for his place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.

But, Grealish intends to cut his holidays short by reporting earlier than required to England’s current pre-tournament camp in Darlington – a clear intention of his determination to make the plane to Germany.

Man City and Manchester United players are not due to report until the start of next week following their participation in last Saturday’s FA Cup final.

But it is expected that Grealish and his club colleague John Stones – who was used sparingly towards the end of the season – will report ahead of schedule.

Grealish’s experience may count in his favour and his decision to report early is likely to be well received by Southgate.

Earlier this week we reported Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Gordon – who have all been suffering with injury – reported early, too.

England will take on Iceland at Wembley in their final pre-Euros friendly on June 7 before jetting off to their tournament training base in Germany.
