Jessica Pegula Turns to Taylor Fritz for Essential Gaming Advice, Acknowledges His Expertise

American tennis star Jessica Pegula has revealed that she often seeks advice from fellow player Taylor Fritz when it comes to gaming, particularly for travel tips and equipment choices. Pegula, a self-proclaimed fan of video games, recently shared how Fritz’s experience with traveling and gaming setups has made him a go-to source for her tech advice.

“I usually turn to him for gaming advice, especially regarding travel. I was considering getting a gaming laptop, so I asked him, ‘What do you use? What are the best ones?’ Since he travels a lot with his setup, I trust his opinion,” Pegula explained.

In addition to Fritz, Pegula also plays with her friend Kelly, noting that Kelly spends more hours on the game. “Kelly’s been outplaying me lately because she’s been logging more hours,” Pegula admitted. “I’ve got to step up my game!”

When asked about a superpower that could help her on the tennis court, Pegula humorously shared, “Super speed. I think that would be more useful than flying on the tennis court.”

Gaming has become an important way for Pegula to decompress. “I play a lot with my brothers, friends, and my husband to relax,” she added. “I started playing more during COVID when there was a lot of downtime.”

Reflecting on her gaming habits, Pegula also mentioned, “I used to travel with my PS4 because it was lightweight and easy to pack. The PS5, however, is a little bigger and bulkier, which led me to start playing mobile games.”

The tennis star also revealed that she is interested in bringing more of a gaming culture to women’s tennis, saying, “No one’s really done a video game activation in women’s tennis, so I wanted to see if we could integrate it into this new world.”
