Now the Bromley local has stated she is working on improving her serve under the guidance of coach Nick Caveday.

Reports suggest she is working a more compact motion with an abbreviated technique, similar to the style of Andy Roddick, who possessed one of the greatest serves of all time.

“I have been working on it,” the former British number one said following Great Britain’s victory over Poland in round one of the Billie Jean King Cup finals.

Emma Raducanu helps Great Britain reach Billie Jean King Cup quarter-finals

Raducanu along with Katie Boulter ensured their team comfortably progressed to the last eight of the Billie Jean King Cup.

Raducanu began the tie against Jule Niemeier, and on her sixth match point sealed a 6-4, 6-4 victory to put Great Britain into the lead.

British number one Boulter followed and took on veteran Laura Siegemund and a win would send them into the quarter-finals.

Boulter claimed an emphatic 6-1, 6-2 to win the best-of-three round and advance to the quarter-finals where they will play Canada.

“For me to be able to captain the team of incredible women, and for Katie to lead the way she does, and to have Emma back in the team, playing great tennis, given the circumstances over the last few weeks, I feel like I’m in a very fortunate position,” Great Britain’s captain Anne Keothavong said.

“I said it at the start, before the competition started, I really believe that we can win this. I don’t have a problem saying that out loud, because we’ve got quality players who have shown in their own right what they’re capable of.”
