Veronica Confalonieri, girlfriend of Lorenzo Musetti, is already looking ahead to the Miami Open following Musetti’s early exit from Indian Wells. The Italian star bowed out of the BNP Paribas Open in the third round, but Confalonieri kept the tennis spirit alive with a stylish, tennis-inspired nail design.

“Ready for Miami Open.”
Lorenzo Musetti Struggles for Form Amid Early-Season Challenges
Musetti has endured a challenging start to the 2025 season, facing early exits and injuries that have hampered his progress.
The 23-year-old Italian kicked off his campaign at the Hong Kong Open, where he won his opening match before falling in the quarterfinals. He then entered the Australian Open as the 16th seed, notching wins over Matteo Arnaldi and Denis Shapovalov before Ben Shelton eliminated him in the third round.
Seeking momentum, Musetti traveled to South America for the Buenos Aires Open, where he won his opener but was forced to withdraw before his quarterfinal match. He then skipped the remaining events in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, opting instead to prepare for the Masters 1000 event at Indian Wells.
At Indian Wells, the 15th seed received a first-round bye and edged past Roman Safiullin in a three-set battle (7-5, 5-7, 6-2). However, his run was cut short in the third round, where he fell to 20th seed Arthur Fils in a 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 comeback loss.
Veronica Confalonieri Shares Adorable Moment with Son Ludovico After Musetti’s Indian Wells Exit
Following Musetti’s departure from Indian Wells, Confalonieri shared a heartwarming photo of herself cuddling their baby son Ludovico.
Ludovico, born on March 15, 2024, has been a major inspiration for Musetti, who previously credited fatherhood for making him a better player. In an interview with Tennis Channel late last year, he reflected on how becoming a father has shaped his approach to tennis:
“With the birth of my son, Ludovico, that gave me a lot of responsibility—not just as a father, but also as a player. So, in that sense, I think I have improved a lot.”
“Even though I still have a lot more to do, I believe this will help bring even better results.”
Next up, Musetti and his family are set to travel to Miami, where he will compete in the Masters 1000 event in “The Magic City.”
