Darts world champion confirms interest in Misfits bout but girlfriend Faith Millar remains opposed to ring venture
Luke Littler has reaffirmed his interest in stepping into the boxing ring for a Misfits Boxing match, though the 19-year-old world champion revealed his girlfriend Faith Millar still isn’t keen on the idea.
The darts sensation, who was spotted attending a boxing card in Liverpool on Saturday evening, opened up about his combat sports ambitions while watching his friend Luke Turner secure victory over Jensen Irving on the undercard of Nick Ball’s world title defense against Brandon Figueroa.

When questioned about whether he would welcome the opportunity to compete on the Misfits platform, Littler offered a characteristically confident response, revealing he remains open to the prospect despite his girlfriend’s reservations.

In a conversation with Ariel Helwani approximately 18 months prior, Littler had previously touched on his boxing aspirations and revealed some experience in the sport. “I tried it like once or twice when I was younger,” he disclosed at the time.
When pressed on a specific opponent during that earlier interview, the darts prodigy named a content creator rather than a fellow arrows player. “It’s like a proper person, it’s not a darts player,” he explained. “Do I like him? Nah. Beavo”.
Beavo, a social media personality who rose to prominence through videos of himself swallowing food without chewing, had been embroiled in a public spat with Littler during 2024.
Faith’s Opposition
While Littler has consistently expressed enthusiasm for the prospect of boxing, his girlfriend Faith Millar has made her position clear—she doesn’t want him to do it.
The 20-year-old beautician from Wigan has been by Littler’s side throughout his incredible journey, supporting him at virtually every major tournament since they went public with their relationship in July 2025 after months of insisting they were “just friends.”
Millar’s concerns are understandable. With Littler currently dominating world darts as the sport’s youngest-ever world number one, having won 11 major PDC titles including back-to-back World Championships, venturing into combat sports represents an unnecessary risk to both his health and his primary career.
Her influence on the teenage sensation has been considerable, with Littler often crediting her for providing stability as he navigates his meteoric rise to fame and fortune.
A Hectic Saturday
Saturday proved to be an exceptionally hectic day for the darts phenomenon, who earlier appeared on the Old Trafford pitch during Manchester United’s Premier League fixture against Tottenham.
The avid Manchester United supporter showcased his World Championship trophy during the half-time interval of the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Spurs, though the moment took an unexpected turn when Tottenham fans began chanting Michael van Gerwen’s name from the away section in an attempt to needle him.
Littler’s response was perfect—he held up two fingers toward the visiting supporters, symbolizing his two consecutive World Championship titles.
Demanding Schedule Makes Boxing Unlikely
The demanding nature of his darts schedule, which includes weekly Premier League commitments alongside the European Tour, would make any boxing venture particularly challenging to accommodate.
Littler endured a disappointing start to his Premier League Darts campaign, suffering elimination at the quarter-final stage during the opening night in Newcastle earlier this week, losing 6-4 to Gian van Veen in a rematch of January’s World Championship final.
The defeat snapped a nine-match winning streak at televised events for “The Nuke,” who had been in imperious form following his maiden World Masters victory on February 2, where he edged compatriot Luke Humphries 6-5 in a thriller.
Relationship Strength Tested Early
Last year, Littler opened up about the difficulties he and Millar faced at the start of their relationship due to the negative backlash and trolling online.
The couple had initially tried to keep their romance private, repeatedly insisting they were merely friends even as they were spotted together with increasing frequency. When they finally went public in July 2025, it came after Millar had already met Littler’s parents and become a fixture at his tournaments.
Their relationship has grown stronger despite the intense public scrutiny. Millar was present when Littler successfully defended his world title at Alexandra Palace in January 2026, a victory that brought him not only eternal glory but also a top prize of £1 million.
Most recently, she celebrated her 20th birthday by watching Littler win the World Masters in Milton Keynes—though the darts star admitted he’d forgotten to buy her a present. “It is Faith’s birthday. The door remains open should Littler change his mind or convince his girlfriend otherwise. Misfits Boxing has previously shown interest in securing the darts sensation’s services, with promoter Mams Taylor revealing last year that he reached out immediately after hearing of Littler’s interest.
The KSI-backed series has become a platform for YouTubers, TikTokers, rappers, and other celebrities to settle scores in the ring, with the inaugural series selling 445,000 pay-per-view buys. The organization has even attracted interest from sporting icons like former England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney.

For now, it appears Faith Millar’s veto will keep Littler’s focus solely on the oche rather than the ring. With £1 million already banked from his second World Championship triumph, a £100,000 World Masters payday, and countless more opportunities ahead in darts, the teenage prodigy has plenty to occupy his time without adding boxing gloves to his arsenal.
While Littler clearly relishes the idea of stepping between the ropes—particularly for a grudge match with Beavo—respecting his girlfriend’s wishes while maintaining his unprecedented dominance in darts seems the wiser path.
