Luke Littler condemns fan that threw pint at Nathan Aspinall during Premier League Darts: ‘It’s crazy’

Luke Littler called out a rowdy darts fan after a pint was lobbed at Nathan Aspinall during his walk-on before their Premier League final in Brighton. Littler went on to win 6-3, securing his second nightly title of the season on Week Five. The incident follows the Professional Darts Corporation’s (PDC) recent crackdown on disruptive behavior, after whistling and booing marred the Glasgow leg. The PDC, which vows to “work closely” with venues and take “proactive and decisive action” against troublemakers, has been contacted by *The Independent* regarding this latest flare-up.
“Crazy,” Littler said. “A pint got chucked at Nathan the second he hit the stage.” On the fans, he added, “Some are great, some are a bit off. That’s darts crowds—either brilliant or bonkers.”
Littler, fresh off a 6-2 semi-final rout of Michael van Gerwen, surged to a 3-1 lead in the final. Aspinall clawed back to 3-3, but Littler seized the seventh leg with a critical break, then broke again to seal the night. He now trails Luke Humphries—who also has two nightly wins—by just two points at the top of the table, with Humphries on 15. Aspinall and van Gerwen lag at eight apiece.
“Luke was ahead, but with him out, I locked in on my game,” Littler told Sky Sports. “After the UK Open, I’ve been on fire, and tonight I played sharp to grab another trophy. My big goal is the top four, the O2—that’s where the real title defense happens. Next up, the Euro Tour. I’ve always backed myself, but right now, my darts are landing better than ever, week in, week out.”
