Luke Littler is setting his sights on breaking a record for Premier League nightly wins as he heads into his homecoming night in Manchester. The 2024 debutant, who currently leads the Premier League standings with 26 points—six ahead of second-place Luke Humphries—could achieve his fifth nightly win on Night 10 in Manchester, surpassing his previous best of four wins from last season.
The teenager has been in formidable form, claiming victories on Night Two in Glasgow, Night Five in Brighton, Night Seven in Cardiff, and most recently on Night Eight in Newcastle. Littler also impressed with a nine-darter in Cardiff, marking the first televised nine-darter of the season, and has already hit over a century of 180s.
“I’m really motivated to get that fifth win and break the record,” Littler said. “I know there’s still plenty of weeks left, but I want to make it happen as soon as possible and keep pushing to extend my lead at the top.”
Littler’s incredible start to the season has seen him not only dominate the nightly wins but also establish himself as a strong contender for the Premier League’s top spot. “I’m aiming for the No. 1 spot, and breaking the nightly wins record is something I want to do. It’s a personal milestone, but it will also go down in Premier League history,” he added.
Despite his dominant form, Littler faces a significant challenge in the shape of Gerwyn Price in his quarter-final match. The Welshman has had the upper hand in their previous six encounters, including in the 2025 Premier League, where Littler has yet to beat Price.
“I know he’s beaten me before and knows how to play against me, but I won’t approach this match any differently than any other week,” Littler explained. “I’ll just focus on getting that first win and securing two points for the table.”
The Premier League Darts continues at the AO Arena in Manchester on Thursday, April 10, where Littler and Price will clash in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The action kicks off live on Sky Sports Action from 7pm.
