Luke Littler Eyes Premier League Nightly Win Record at Manchester Homecoming
Luke Littler is looking to set a new benchmark in the Premier League Darts as he returns to his hometown of Manchester on Night 10, aiming for a record-breaking fifth nightly win of the season. But standing in his way is a familiar and formidable rival — Gerwyn Price.
Currently sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 26 points, Littler is six points clear of his nearest competitor, Luke Humphries. Despite his dominant form, he’s yet to overcome Price in the 2025 campaign, having lost their last six encounters — including the final on Night 6 in Nottingham and the Players Championship 12, where Littler was knocked out in the last 16.
Still, the 18-year-old world champion remains focused on his game plan and insists he won’t let past results affect his mindset.
“I know he’s got the record and knows how to beat me,” Littler said. “But I’m not going up there thinking, ‘you have to win this.’ I’ll treat it like any other week — go out, aim to win the first match, and get two points on the board.”
Littler’s 2025 campaign has already been remarkable. He’s claimed nightly victories in Glasgow (Night 2), Brighton (Night 5), Cardiff (Night 7), and Newcastle (Night 8). He also produced a stunning nine-darter in Cardiff, the first televised one to end on double 15, and has already surpassed 100 180s this season.
Now, he’s pushing to break his own record of four nightly wins in a single season — set during his breakout year in 2024 — with six more nights and the Play-Offs at London’s O2 Arena still to come.
“Obviously, I want to go back-to-back in Manchester,” Littler added. “Getting that fifth win would be a big milestone — not just for me personally, but it would also be a part of Premier League history. I want to stay at the top, keep the pressure on, and extend that lead.”
“I think in previous years, 26 points was usually enough to reach Finals Night, but I want more than that. I want that number one spot. I’m still motivated and feeling strong with my power scoring.”
But first, he’ll need to navigate a high-stakes quarter-final against Price at Manchester’s AO Arena. The two meet in what promises to be one of the evening’s most compelling matchups, with the winner progressing to face either Stephen Bunting or Luke Humphries in the semis.
