Speaking after the match, Littler revealed he hadn’t expected such a straightforward contest, particularly given the quality and experience of his opponent.

“I’m a bit shocked at how comfortable it was,” Littler said. “I knew it was going to be tough, so to get through like that was a nice surprise.”

The reigning world champion also praised his focus and preparation, explaining that staying relaxed on the Ally Pally stage has been key to his performances so far. Despite the pressure that comes with defending a title, Littler has looked unfazed, playing with the freedom and confidence that have become hallmarks of his rapid rise.

The crowd once again played its part, roaring him on as he closed out the match with minimal fuss. Littler acknowledged the support, admitting the atmosphere helps him settle quickly once he steps on stage.

With another convincing win under his belt, Littler now turns his attention to the fourth round, where the tests will inevitably become tougher. However, judging by his latest display — and his own admission of astonishment at how easy it felt — the young star remains firmly on course for another deep run at the World Darts Championship.
