Luke Littler may now be a millionaire after lifting the PDC World Darts Championship trophy, but the teenage superstar has revealed that his first purchase from the £1 million prize fund will be surprisingly modest.

The 18-year-old cemented his place at the top of the sport by claiming a second world title at Alexandra Palace, defeating Gian van Veen in a blockbuster final and further underlining his status as the new face of darts.

Despite the life-changing prize money on offer, Littler insists he has no plans for extravagant spending and remains firmly grounded following his historic triumph.

Speaking after the final, the world number one admitted his initial focus would be on something far more low-key than supercars or luxury mansions.

“I haven’t really thought about anything big,” Littler said. “I’ll probably just treat myself to something small first and take it from there.”

The Warrington teenager has previously spoken about wanting to stay close to home and maintain a sense of normality despite his rapid rise to fame, with family playing a key role in keeping his feet on the ground.

“I’m still the same person,” he added. “I just want to enjoy the win, spend some time with my family and friends, and then get ready for what’s next.”

Littler’s modest approach has drawn praise from fans, many of whom have applauded his maturity and attitude at such a young age. While he is expected to make smart long-term investments with his growing earnings, the reigning champion has made it clear that trophies — not money — remain his main motivation.

“It’s the titles that matter,” Littler has repeatedly said. “The money’s great, but it’s the trophies you remember.”

With another world crown secured and the biggest prize in darts now added to his collection, Littler’s focus will soon shift back to the oche as he prepares for a packed 2026 calendar — determined to keep building a legacy that goes far beyond his bank balance.
