Luke Littler’s Valentine’s Day Love? His World Darts Championship Trophy
Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler had an unconventional Valentine’s Day celebration—cuddling up with the World Darts Championship trophy.
The 17-year-old took to Instagram to share a cheeky post with his 1.8 million followers, featuring himself in bed with the Sid Waddell Trophy, which he has held since his Alexandra Palace triumph last month.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, love,” Littler captioned the playful photo, making it clear where his heart truly lies.
A Champion’s Focus—With a Bedding Update
While social media was filled with romantic tributes, Littler’s post served as a lighthearted reminder that his focus remains on his darting success.
In a follow-up post, he responded to fans’ comments about his bedding—an amusing topic after a previous image featured Christmas-themed sheets.
“Let’s get this right now, there are nooooooooo Christmas sheets on,” Littler clarified, sharing an updated picture of his duvet.
Even as his Instagram following skyrockets, Littler remains engaged with his fans, embracing the humor of social media reactions.
Premier League Triumph and Battling Crowd Disruptions
Littler’s Valentine’s post came shortly after his Night 2 victory at the Premier League Darts in Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, where he secured a hard-fought 6-5 win against Luke Humphries.
Speaking about the match, Littler acknowledged the challenge of playing through crowd disruptions.
“Yeah, obviously, there were a few in particular that were doing it [whistling] when Luke [Humphries] was throwing,” he said.
He explained how referee Kirk Bevins’ attempt to quiet the crowd backfired, intensifying the noise:
“Kirk told them to be quiet and it got even worse, and then I missed doubles and Luke breaks at 5-4.”
Despite the pressure, Littler remained composed. “I broke back and held my throw very strongly again,” he added.
Life in the Spotlight and Staying Grounded
As his star continues to rise, Littler is also navigating the challenges of fame—particularly when it comes to dating.
“I have had a few requests from girls to meet up. But I generally don’t reply,” he revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail last month.
The young champion explained his cautious approach:
“It’s just people looking at me and the money I am making, and they want part of that.”
Following his parents’ advice, Littler is choosing to stay grounded and prioritize his longtime friendships.
“My mum and dad told me to keep the friends I have. Give it a few years, and I may meet someone along the way,” he shared.
For now, Littler’s true love remains clear—his darting career and the trophies he’s collecting along the way.
