Gerwyn Price lit up Manchester with a sensational nine-dart finish in Night 10 of the PDC Premier League, but it was Luke Littler’s reaction that stole hearts.

The Welshman nailed a brilliant 141 checkout to complete the rare feat, only the fourth nine-darter of this year’s tournament. As Price turned to celebrate, Littler immediately embraced him, showing his class and dismissing any rumors of tension between the two darts stars.

The 18-year-old world champion high-fived and laughed with Price in a moment that highlighted their mutual respect, despite being fierce competitors.

Price’s perfect leg earned him a custom set of £30,000 18-carat gold darts from sponsors BetMGM. However, he couldn’t carry that momentum through, losing the quarter-final 6-3 to Littler — becoming the third player this season to hit a nine-darter but not win the match.

For Littler, the win was a personal milestone, marking the end of a six-match losing streak against the Welshman, his first victory over Price since April 2024.

Unfortunately, Littler’s night ended in the semi-finals, where he was defeated by world number one Luke Humphries. But Humphries, too, fell short in the final, losing to Nathan Aspinall, who claimed his first night win of the season.

Aspinall’s path to the title included dominant 6-2 victories over Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen — the latter making his return from injury after missing the Berlin round due to a bizarre incident:

“It sounds a bit stupid, but it’s true — I injured my neck trying on a shirt,” van Gerwen said.

Still, MVG managed a solid return, defeating Chris Dobey 6-4 in the opening round.

The Premier League heads to Rotterdam next Thursday for Night 11 — van Gerwen’s home round — where fans can expect more thrilling darts and high-stakes drama.
